Abolish ISA

Many of us cry for the abolishment of the ISA. But how many of us really know the composition of the ISA detainees. There are 59 of them held at the Kamunting camp now.

2 Separatist Thai.
5 Hindraf
4 James Bond ( Espionage )
12 Falsifying documents
36 Al Islamiah, Al Maunah and Al Arqam.

Total political detainees are five only.

Just imagine that someone falsify our passport and sell to foreigners and when it become rampant other countries will never accept our travel documents as genuine. What if the fake passport falls on the terrorist hands. They put a bomb somewhere and put the blame on the Malaysian passport.

Printing fake currency will definitely create a lot of havoc for the country. If our nation is plagued with fake currency the confidence of foreign investors and visitors will be eroded therefor leaving our country economy in shambles.

I need not to explain the threat which comes from the Al Islamiah, Al Arqam and the Al Maunah group.

Neither I want to explain the Thai Separatist group,

Many said that they can be put to trial. I cite the example of falsifying documents which may jeopardise our country stability. You put them to court under the penal code the lawyer will come and bail them. The court cannot refuse bail as the offence is bailable unless for certain reason deem fit by the court.
Therefor the suspect will walk out of court and commit another offence and may even jump bail. Then he will flood our country with a lot of currency and documents.

I will like to comment that the ISA must not be misuse and it is still relevant until today.

For the Hindraf 5, they argued that they are not a threat to nation security, I run a business in KL and during the Hindraf protest there were chaos everywhere and the business in KL dropped tremendously due to the fear of people and people simply refuse to come out and shop. Many businessmen will testify that business was in a gloom during the protest.
the police had offered them to demonstrate in a safe place that was inside the stadium. But they choose the street.
So my conclusion is that the ISA is not for detaining political people but actually doing good by maintaining peace in this country. I will continue to support ISA but it must not be misuse for political purposes.
Do not be hood winked by DAP for calling the abolishment of ISA as this is only their political strategy.
I hope we can really look hard at the pro and cons prior joining the call for abolishment of ISA.
